异戊橡胶由异戊二烯合成的一种橡胶，最接近天然橡胶，其耐水性，电绝缘性超过天然橡胶。由异戊二烯制得的高顺式(顺-1，4含量为92%～97%)合成橡胶，因其结构和性能与天然橡胶近似，故又称合成天然橡胶。它是一种综合性能很好的通用合成橡胶，在很多情况下可代替天然橡胶。但它的生胶强度、粘着性、加工性能以及硫化胶的抗撕裂强度、耐疲劳性等均稍低于天然橡胶。

IR is a rubber synthesized from isoprene, most similar to natural rubber. Its water resistance and electrical insulation exceed NR. The high-cis (cis-1, 4 content 92% to 97%) synthetic rubber made of isoprene is also called synthetic natural rubber because its structure and properties are similar to natural rubber. It is a synthetic rubber with excellent properties and can replace natural rubber in many cases. However, its green rubber strength, adhesion, processing properties, and the tear strength and fatigue resistance of vulcanized rubber are slightly lower than natural rubber.

应用领域： 适用于轮胎、鞋业、地板、医疗和食品橡胶制品等。
