HSR is produced by emulsion copolymerization of styrene and butadiene, and is agglomerated using aluminum sulfate, stabilized with a non-contaminating antioxidant. It can be used as a rubber reinforcing and hardening agent, blended with NR, BR, etc., and has a significant effect on improving the hardness, tensile strength, resistance to friction and tear strength of the rubber compound.
