天然橡胶和合成橡胶的优异防焦剂，其防焦效果和加入量成正比关系，但是最多不要超过1份。其用量增加对胶料的性能影响很小。在含有次磺酰胺类和噻唑类的促进体系中，还能提高5%~10%的交联密度。用于秋兰姆硫化体系只能产生轻微或几乎没有防焦效果（NBR混合物例外）但如果添加氧化镁、氧化钙等，此防焦剂对NR或者SBR的秋兰姆硫化体系具有一定的防焦效果。此防焦剂不污染、不变色，可用于浅色制品。
